Cardinals Draw St. Norbert in NCAA Quarterfinals

Complete NCAA Division III Women's Hockey Bracket

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State women’s hockey team will host St. Norbert College for an NCAA Quarterfinal game Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Stafford Ice Arena.

The complete field for the NCAA Division III Women’s Ice Hockey Tournament was released earlier today and features three additional quarterfinal matchups - Middlebury at Norwich, Elmira at Bowdoin and Wis.-River Falls at Gustavus Adolphus. All four quarterfinal games will take place this weekend.

Tickets for the NCAA Quarterfinal contest will go on sale Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Field House Box Office. Tickets will be $6 for general admission and $3 for college students with a valid ID. The first 300 Plattsburgh State students who present a current Plattsburgh State student ID will be admitted for free.

The Cardinals come into the tournament fresh off their third Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) West Title and boast a 25-0-2 record. Plattsburgh will be making its second-straight NCAA Tournament appearance and ninth overall.

The Green Knights earned the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association’s automatic bid by defeating UW-River Falls, 3-2, in overtime to win the O’Brien Cup Playoffs championship. In just its third season of varsity women’s ice hockey, St. Norbert will be making its first NCAA Tournament appearance.
