AMHERST, Mass. – The first day of play at the Amherst Regional of the NCAA Division III Softball Tournament has been delayed due to inclement weather.
The Plattsburgh State softball team is now slated to play seventh-seeded University of New England Friday at a time to be determined.
The double-elimination tournament was originally scheduled to begin at 10 a.m., but the first game between top-seeded Cortland and eighth-seeded Keuka was pushed back to a 3 p.m. start. Fifth-seeded St. Joseph’s will face fourth-seeded Keene State at 5 p.m. The third game between third-seeded Amherst and sixth-seeded Husson may be rescheduled for Friday, if necessary.
