LAKE PLACID, N.Y. - Mathieu Cadieux and Mike Grace of the Plattsburgh State men's hockey team have been named 2012 CCM Hockey Division II-III Men's Hockey All-Americans with both players receiving second team honors. This year's All-American selections were announced Thursday night at the 2012 NCAA Division III Men's Ice Hockey Championship Banquet in Lake Placid.

Cadieux garners his first all-american accolades after earning a spot on the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) First Team in his first season with the Cardinals. The sophomore goaltender finished the season with a 16-5-3 record, which included a 13-game unbeaten streak and three shutouts. The Oshawa, Ontario native is sixth in the nation in goals-against average (1.85) and ninth in save percentage (.928).
A junior from Rochester, N.Y., Grace also receives the first all-american nod of his career. The Cardinal blueliner finished the season with a goal and 12 assists and was name Most Valuable Player of t he SUNYAC Tournament. Grace, who has appeared in all 28 games thus far, has provided a veteran presence on the nation's fourth-best defense that has allowed 56 goals and held its opponents to 2.00 goals per game.
Cadieux and Grace join 23 other Plattsburgh State men's hockey players to receive All-American honors. Four players from the SUNYAC achieved All-American status with Plattsburgh the only conference member to have multiple players named to this year's team.
