ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Second day same as the first for the Plattsburgh State women’s hockey team.  The Cardinals skated to a 0-0 overtime tie at R.I.T. in an ECAC West game earlier this afternoon.

Despite the lack of scoring, there were plenty of penalties.  Plattsburgh took five penalties, while the Tigers took seven on the day.

R.I.T. held a 34-25 edge in shots.  Today’s game again showcased outstanding goaltending on both sides.  Laura Chamberlain stops 25 shots for the Tigers.  Mandy Mackrell recorded 34 saves between the pipes for the Cardinals.

The Cardinals stand at 12-2-3 overall and 8-1-2 in conference play.  Plattsburgh returns home next weekend to host Oswego for a two-game series at the Stafford Ice Arena.
