PLATTSBURGH, N.Y.--Plattsburgh State women's soccer head coach Karen Waterbury has announced that David Hickman has been added to the Cardinals coaching staff.
"David reads the game well and has a solid skill-base, so we will ask for his expertise during practice and game situations," Waterbury said. "He's from Long Island, so he can help us with recruiting in that area."
A fifth-year senior who is majoring in education, Hickman will help Coach Waterbury in all phases of the program.
Hickman was a three-year member of the men's program (2007-09), culminating with second-team all-league accolades from the State University of New York Athletic Conference and SUNYAC All-Tournament Team (for a second time) during his senior year. He scored two goals and seven points in 58 career games for the Red and White.
Before Plattsburgh, the Sachem North High School product appeared in four games as a freshman for North Carolina Wesleyan in 2006.
