PLATTSBURGH--Sue Mayette, who worked in the Department of Sport&Wellness since Feb. 2001 as part of a 30-year career at Plattsburgh State, was honored Thursday during her retirement reception at Meron's.
Surrounded by family and friends, Sue was greeted by well-wishes and goodbyes from coaches and staff members of the Department. She was presented with several gifts, cards and a decorative cake.
Sue began her career at the College on Aug. 18, 1980, as a stenographer in the Bursar's Office. Then she moved over to departments for Sponsored Research (1988-92) and Education (1993-2000) before concluding as an administrative assistant in Sport&Wellness for the past nine years.
