Fans can catch their first glimpse of the team on Oct. 31 when Plattsburgh hosts the Southwest Wildcats in an exhibition game.

The Cardinals get the real season under way at home against Salve Regina in the first-ever meeting between the schools on Nov. 6.

Plattsburgh opens its ECAC West regular-season title defense on Nov. 13-14 in Aston, Pa., playing at Neumann. The Cardinals were undefeated at 17-0-1 in conference play last season and own a 26-game ECAC-West unbeaten streak overall.

After closing 2010 with a two-game home series against conference champion Elmira (Dec. 11-12), Plattsburgh begins the new calendar year on Jan. 2-3 hosting the Cardinal-Panther Classic. Two-time defending national champion Amherst, Middlebury and the Soaring Eagles round out the field.

Following a road date at Manhattanville of ECAC-East on Jan. 8, Plattsburgh returns to the Stafford Arena against NCAA Division III championship runner-up Norwich in a rematch of the 2010 NCAA Quarterfinals won by the Cadets. The two schools also square off earlier in the season on Dec. 3 in Northfield, Vt.

The Cardinals wrap up the regular season Feb. 19-20 with a two-game home series against ECAC West foe Utica.

Plattsburgh went 23-3-2 and finished in first place in the 2010 ECAC-West standings, and is anticipating the return of 21 of 25 players--including All-Americans Mandy Mackrell, a goalie, and Kara Buehler, a defenseman--off that squad.
