Eric Satim was named both the most valuable player and recipient of the Chip Grabowski Award. The latter is given annually to the player who best typifies Cardinal Hockey, demonstrating supreme sportsmanship, leadership, hard work and dedication. A junior center from Montreal, Quebec, Satim recorded a second-team-leading 27 points on 11 goals and 16 assists despite missing several games due to injury. He earned All-State University of New York Athletic Conference honors for the second straight season.
A left wing from Toronto, Ontario, Jared Docking is the rookie of the year after pacing team freshmen with 14 assists and 17 points. Docking was the SUNYAC Rookie of the Week on two occasions: Feb. 1 and Jan. 18. He also had the game-winning overtime goal at Middlebury, 3-2, that sent the Cardinals to the NCAA Division III Semifinals in Lake Placid.
The scholar-athlete citation was earned by Dan Sliasis, who is a three-time Academic All-SUNYAC and Commissioner's List performer. The junior right wing out of Georgetown, Ontario, posted career highs of 10 goals and 19 assists in 25 games. Sliasis also led the Cardinals with eight power-play goals. He is a business major.
Matt Bessing, a freshman left wing from Buffalo, was tabbed as the most improved player. He contributed five goals and seven points in 14 contests.
