INDIANAPOLIS- The Plattsburgh State women's hockey team received one of three at-large bids from the NCAA Selection Committee on Monday and will host Norwich in the NCAA Division III Championship Quarterfinals at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Stafford Ice Arena. The Cardinals--runners-up in the Eastern College Athletic Conference West Division Tournament--are 23-2-2 overall with a No. 3 USCHO.com national ranking entering their seventh NCAA appearance. The No. 10-ranked Cadets (18-5-5) defeated New England College, 3-0, in Sunday's ECAC East title game, and are playing in the NCAA tournament for the second time in a row in their brief three-year history as a varsity program.
